Parvathy Omanakuttan has it all to become Miss World 2008.

Year 2000 is a memorable year in the history of Indian beauty pageant. Not only the country won its last Miss World title that year but Indian beauties won three major beauty pageants. Famous model turned actress, Lara Dutta, won Miss Universe 2000. Model turned actress, Priyanka Chopra, also won Miss World 2000. Finally, actress Diya Mirza, won Miss Asia Pacific 2000. Over the years, India sent some of the most beautiful women but none of them could win Miss World. This year, Parvathy Omanakuttan is participating in Miss World contest and expectation is very high as usual.

Twenty one year old, 5 feet 9 inches tall, Parvathy Omanakuttan is a resident of Mumbai. An arts graduate, Parvathy majored in Sociology, Psychology and English Literature. Her future plan is to pursue higher degree in Psychology. The experts who groomed Parvathy are very much hopeful about her. Sabira Merchant, diction expert, said:

“She has the ‘X’ factor that sets apart a supermodel from the models. It’s her vivacity and warmth that make her instantly likeable. She is a perfect mix of beauty with brains,”

According to Subi Samuel, famous photographer, Parvathy exudes class and confidence which can give her major advantages over other Miss World contestants. Sandeep Soparrkar, another reputed photographer, said that people can not take their eyes off her even in a room full of gorgeous women which is the hallmark of a beauty queen. Fitness expert, Deanne Pandey is also feels that Parvathy has it all to be Miss World 2008. She said:

“She is an ideal blend of panache and poise. Her face just lights up each time she smiles.”

Now let us turn our eyes at the fast track events of Miss World. Parvathy Omanakuttan did not win any of the five fast track events including: Beach Beauty, Top Model, Sports, Talent, and Beauty with a purpose. In Miss World Beach Beauty, Parvathy Omanakuttan made it to the semi-finals. In Top Model section, Parvathy Omanakuttan was the second runner up.
